About Christina Knapp
„

I capture life where others look away.
“
I photograph where others look away.
Where life isn’t staged, polished, or filtered.
I seek the raw, the real, the deeply human — and sometimes, the uncomfortable.
My camera is my tool, my curiosity my engine, and my images my voice.
I'm Christina – photographer, explorer, listener.
I spent years working in therapy, supporting children and adults through crisis and chaos. I held space in moments that were raw and real. I also worked with my parents, who are funeral directors – so I’ve witnessed both ends of the human experience. Loss. Fragility. Resilience.
Maybe that’s why I stay calm when things get intense. Maybe that’s why I’m drawn to what most people avoid.
Photography has always been with me, quietly in the background.
But when I felt the urge to stop just listening and start telling stories, I picked up my camera – to make what’s invisible, visible.
I began with weddings – moments full of truth, intimacy, and quiet beauty. But over time, something inside me grew louder: the urge to go deeper. To be closer to people. To document the places and lives the world forgets.

I want to see what others ignore.
I want to feel what others avoid.
I want to photograph what might otherwise be lost — and I want these images to mean something.
Not for likes. But for truth. For connection. For understanding.
I'm not afraid of intense stories.
I'm afraid they won’t be told.
